The Municipality of Rome I Centro, as a proximity body, manages, in its area of competence, several basic services, including: demographic, social, school and educational, cultural, sports and recreational, urban and green areas maintenance, as well as initiatives for economic development and urban police functions. The Municipality represents its community, looks after its interests and promotes its development, inspiring the exercise of its functions and activities with the need for constant improvement of the services rendered to the citizen and easier accessibility of the services themselves, including through the detection of the instances of the territory and the initiatives of participation and consultation.
The Territory of the Municipality of Rome I Centro includes the Rioni Borgo, Campitelli, Campo Marzio, Celio, Colonna, Esquilino, Ludovisi, Sallustinano, Monti, Parione, Pigna, Ponte, Prati, Regola, Ripa, S. Angelo, S. Saba, S. Eustachio, Testaccio, Trevi, Trastevere and part of Castro Pretorio, the Della Vittoria district and part of the Trionfale, Ostiense and Ardeatino districts.
