Data and contact details

Founded in 2006, Black Liquid Art Gallery began its journey by focusing on contemporary African and diaspora art, with an emphasis on the secondary market. Recently, the gallery moved to a new location near the Galleria Borghese in the heart of Rome, strengthening its presence in one of the city's richest cultural areas.

A pioneer in Europe, Black Liquid Art Gallery was among the first to promote internationally renowned artists such as Aboudia, Marc Padeu, Oluwole Omofemi, Esther Mahlangu and others. Through collaboration with the world's leading auction houses, the gallery has contributed significantly to the international visibility and recognition of these artists, positioning them as leading figures in the global art scene. Through exhibitions and collaborations with cultural institutions, Black Liquid Art promotes cross-cultural dialogue between African and Western art, creating an open and inclusive space that invites the public to explore and appreciate new artistic perspectives.

With a strong commitment to giving artists a voice, the gallery addresses current and relevant issues, embracing both emerging and established talent and promoting deep reflection on contemporary African art. Black Liquid Art Gallery's mission is to enhance the international visibility of the artists it represents by offering an authentic and diverse perspective, with the goal of strengthening global cultural dialogue and connecting worlds and cultures through dialogue with the public.
