The Spazio Mecenate Cultural Association, located in Rome near the Teatro Brancaccio, is a distinguished artistic center devoted to the promotion and dissemination of culture through the organization of cultural events, art exhibitions, and live performances. Among its flagship projects were "The Miracle of the Snow" at Piazza Santa Maria Maggiore (2016-2020), renowned for its luminous scenography and classical music, and the "Great Liberation Festival" at the Pyramid of Cestius (2017-2019), featuring projections and concerts funded by the Lazio Region and sponsored by the Municipality of Rome, the Lazio Region, and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities (Mibact).
Since 2010, Spazio Mecenate has orchestrated a myriad of collective and solo art exhibitions. The association collaborates with professionals for event planning, artistic direction, setup, securing sponsorships and patronages, and strategic communication. In June 2021, it reopened its showroom on Via Mecenate to host temporary art exhibitions.
Recent inaugurations include "Fragments," a solo exhibition by artist, designer, and architect Vincenzo Giubba, featuring a vernissage-performance conceived by the artist himself with the participation of Debora Caprioglio. After founding and directing the Accademia Italiana di Arte Moda e Design in Florence for over 40 years, Giubba has relocated to Rome, returning to his first love, painting. His new works will be showcased in "Fragments and Other Stories" in October 2024.
Another notable exhibition is "Materia Live" by Abruzzese artist Marco Appicciafuoco, an early-career ceramic sculptor aligned with the Italian Transavantgarde movement, whose work is attuned to climate emergencies, ecological balances, and contemporary environmental critique. The exhibition features around 22 pieces, ranging from aluminum prints to black Pilot pen drawings on graph paper, to ceramic sculptures made from semi-re, white engobe, glass, LEDs, stoneware, glazes, platinum, and acrylics. This mix-and-match of materials represents the distinctive artistic signature of Marco Appicciafuoco, delivering an undeniable visual and artistic impact.
