Claudia also served as Art Director for the landmark exhibition Francesco: Laudato Sie (Rome, 2024 and Assisi, 2025), a Vatican-supported show where she developed the complete visual identity, branding, and design system.

In 2021, she founded Clù, her line of silk scarves based on original artworks, available at The Met Opera Shop and other select retailers. Described as “the designer’s designer” by House Beautiful, Claudia leads her namesake studio—founded in 1996—creating digital and physical projects for esteemed clients including Bulgari Hotels, the Vatican, and the United Nations. She was recently appointed Chief Design Officer at Beacon Int’l, where she guides creative direction across global publications, including titles by Simon & Schuster and Condé Nast. From 2006 to 2013, she also served as director of Italian Journal magazine.

In addition to her visual work, Claudia appeared in Tommaso (dir. Abel Ferrara), alongside Willem Dafoe. She holds a B.A. in Art and Art History from Mount Holyoke College and lives in Rome’s Prati neighborhood with her husband, photographer Mauro Benedetti, and their son, Ludovico, an actor in international films.
