The non-profit association Gart-GardenArt (chaired by Katia Paoletti and founded with Veronica Leccese, Maria Montecalvo, Caterina Greppi) since 2016 has organized courses, exhibitions, events and publishes the quarterly "GartMagazine" to invite, through contemporary arts, practices and disciplines, to a vision that can learn and draw inspiration from the plant world.
Art as an intimate connection with Nature.
There are many artists, some resident abroad (Erica Campos, Alefes Silva or inspiration like the immersive painter Claire Basler and the landscape philosopher Gilles Clément), with whom this intent is shared. Gart organized and managed the "Festa del Risveglio" event in 2018 at the Botanical Garden Museum in Rome, which was attended by seventy artists and also writers, philosophers, researchers. He promoted and curated the personal exhibition of the artist Manuela Scannavini at Ecru, artist included in the Atlas of Contemporary Art De Agostini, and the OpenHouse of Renee Fabbiocchi at the Roman headquarters. It publishes the quarterly "GartMagazine" from 2020. Among the honorary members, the curator and critic Giosuè Allegrini, the artist Ruggero Maggi, a well-known Milanese exponent of Chaotic Art and Mail Art, the painter Giuseppe Frascaroli and Alberta Campitelli, former Superintendent of Historical Parks and Gardens. We find synergies and collaborations with the Anshin Zen Center - Pace del Cuore - in Rome, the Officine Ceramiche with the artist Evandro Gabrieli; musician and researcher Robert James Hanrahan; the vision of the philosopher writer and tree hunter Tiziano Fratus with his "Studio Homo Radix" which we thank for his friendship and support. We make use of the close cooperation of the artist Elisabetta Pagnani with her theatrical narratives and paper stories, which is also part of the Trio "La Compagnia Intermezzo per Cappello" (Maurizio Perissinotto, Valerio Magrini), a wonderful puppet theater where music, poetry and visual arts meet with freedom. In recent years, Gart has also participated in the Tibet Pavilion and the Burma Pavilion for the Venice Biennale with and curated by Ruggero Maggi.
