Wednesday 24 October 2018 at 4.00 pm, Interno 14 next and St Stephen's Cultural Center present the exhibition Go with the flow with the works of Nina Eaton, Valter Sambucini and Mara van Wees, curated by Roberta Melasecca. The three artists respectively present pictorial, photographic and sculptural works that aim to reflect on the theme of water: water tells and tells itself.

“(...) Nina Eaton follows the flow of color that, liquid and viscous, flows through the pores of the canvas. Forms and signs mark the emotional waves of the soul and of memory, until arriving in the unknown of the unconscious. The color, spread with deep brushstrokes, separates and is structured in wavy surfaces and migratory flows of the mind. The waters of Nina are vivifying and salvific, marking the boundary between space and time, between finite and unfinished, and lead the thought to intimate and hidden places.

Valter Sambucini immerses himself in the virtual images reflected following a symbolic and anthropological path, looking for clues and fixing them in frozen moments with the photographic medium: capture, as Carla Guidi writes in her review, refractions from the squared surfaces of buildings, or in the subtle reflections of the 'still water of frozen puddles, catching old walls drowned in a bruised canal of a secret and solitary Venice, or fleeting memories in old warped mirrors.

Mara van Wees molds the material, creates volumes that arch in wavy, flexible and fluid movements. They contain spirits and breaths of water and wind: they impose themselves with their indescribable presence, body but unstable, and bring back to distant experiences. Convivenza stretta & La solitaria, on the surface, smell of earth, take the purple color and in the bowels contain echoes and breaths; in Atlantide are interwoven waves of sapphires and thundering spurts or monotonous and placid motions.” (from the critical text by Roberta Melasecca)
