Vito Bongiorno Open Studio

Vito Bongiorno’s house-studio is a space where art and life come together. Through materials such as charcoal and ash, the artist explores the relationship between humanity, nature, and transformation, creating works that invite reflection.

  1. Entering Vito Bongiorno’s house-studio means discovering the artist’s creative world, a place where everyday life intertwines with artistic research and experimentation.

Born in Alcamo in 1963, Bongiorno’s artistic practice focuses on the relationship between matter, nature, and transformation. In his works, he uses materials such as charcoal and ash, transforming them into expressive tools capable of evoking memory, fragility, destruction, and rebirth.

Matter becomes the protagonist: the black tones, surfaces, and marks tell stories and invite us to reflect on the relationship between human beings and the environment.

Visiting the house-studio offers an opportunity to explore the artist’s creative process and discover a space where ideas, materials, and artworks bear witness to an ever-evolving artistic journey.

It is an invitation to experience art with attentiveness and sensitivity, rediscovering new possibilities of expression and meaning through matter and transformation.
