ERROR AS POSSIBILITY
A Collective Exploration of Artistic Languages, Perception and Experimentation
Rome Art Week 2026 | Nodelab
Error is commonly understood as a deviation from a rule, an anomaly to be corrected, or a failure within a process. But what happens when error ceases to be a limitation and becomes an expressive possibility, a tool for knowledge and critical inquiry?
For Rome Art Week 2026, Nodelab presents a collective exploration of error through different artistic languages and practices. Each artist approaches the theme through their own sensibility, techniques and individual research, without imposed stylistic or methodological constraints.
The exhibition does not seek to present a predetermined unified vision. Instead, it allows similarities, differences and connections between the artworks to emerge. Its aim is to initiate a process of observation and mutual recognition through which the group's artistic character and identity may gradually take shape.
The artworks thus become the first data of a shared investigation: individual traces from which a possible collective grammar can emerge, from the bottom up. An identity that does not precede artistic production, but develops through it.
From this perspective, error is not merely the subject of the exhibition but also a methodological principle: embracing the unexpected, questioning established models and recognizing difference as an opportunity for transformation.
The exhibition marks the first collective presentation of Nodelab's artistic group, a distributed laboratory for artistic research and production operating across Rome, Guidonia Montecelio and Magliano Sabina.
