From the Other to the Beyond.
Consciousness is not merely the awareness of existing; it is the place where we encounter what is different from us. It is precisely in the encounter with the Other that our self-image can be shattered. A fracture arises: a crisis, a conflict, a question, a contradiction. What we took for granted is called into question. And it is in the fracture that awakening can occur. Gaining consciousness means seeing what we previously did not see, recognizing what we preferred to ignore, questioning beliefs, identities, and certainties, like an awakening in awareness. It is a passage to the Beyond: what we do not yet know, what we can become, a new perception of ourselves and the world. This exhibition thus becomes a journey from relationship to crisis, from crisis to awareness, from awareness to transformation. We artists are not asked to represent consciousness, but to question what happens inside and outside of us when we become aware.
