Art Heals Collective: Origins, Vision, and Artistic Journey
The Art Heals collective was established and developed under the artistic curation of Gaetano Infantino (artist name Tanino G. Infantino) as part of the Psiche&Arte project and working group. The collective is grounded in the core principles of a cultural and human manifesto that views the creative act as a vital form of resistance and emotional restoration. In an era that often fragments human suffering and reduces mental distress to a purely biological metric, Art Heals seeks to bridge the gap between clinical understanding and artistic expression, honoring vulnerability as a source of profound human sensitivity and beauty.
The group's ethos revolves around three main pillars: giving voice to invisible suffering, restoring dignity to human fragility, and placing relational engagement at the center of healing to dismantle social stigma.
Over the years, the collective's journey has evolved through key exhibition and community projects across the territory of Rome:

2023 – Dentro la Mente (Inside the Mind): The inaugural project, dedicated to translating internal psychological landscapes into visual languages and initiating a public conversation to dismantle prejudice surrounding mental health.

2024 – Research & Theoretical Framework: A period of conceptual consolidation that established the foundations for the Psiche&Arte publication series (starting with the book Il manicomio invisibile), integrating clinical theory, community outreach, and fine arts.

2025 – Connessioni e Nodi della Rete Umana (Connections and Nodes of the Human Network): Presented at the 10th edition of Rome Art Week under the patronage of ASL Roma 2 and the VII Municipality, held at the Villa Lais Day Center as part of the RO.MENS festival. Using the metaphor of the "thread", participating artists (A. Aulicino, C. Lavatore, L. Valeriani, A. Vastano, and T. G. Infantino) turned a public park into a collaborative hub featuring painting, sculpture, live theater, and music.

2026 – HOMO FABER | The Shaping of Mind and Matter: Hosted at the Spazio Metropolitano in Villa Lazzaroni with the patronage of the VII Municipality, this project marks the collective's sculptural and material evolution. The exhibition explores humanity's capacity to shape raw matter and inner reality through consciousness and artistic creation. Conceived as a dynamic interdisciplinary ecosystem, the exhibition features visual artworks by T. G. Infantino, A. Aulicino, S. Cirelli, L. Panella, F. Sorrentino, and A. Vastano, closely intertwined with theatrical performances by Aurora Stella, poetry readings by Alessia Stella, and the launch of the book L'Uomo Artefice.
