HOMO FABER | The Shaping of Mind and Matter

Curated by Gaetano Infantino (Tanino G. Infantino) for Psiche&Arte and hosted at Spazio Metropolitano (Villa Lazzaroni) under the patronage of Municipio VII.

The art project "HOMO FABER | The Shaping of Mind and Matter" will take part in the new edition of Rome Art Week. Curated by Gaetano Infantino (aka Tanino G. Infantino) on behalf of the Psiche&Arte working group, the initiative is held under the patronage of Municipio VII, hosted at Spazio Metropolitano (Villa Lazzaroni).

Representing the natural evolution of previous artistic and social paths successfully launched in the local area (including the exhibition Dentro la Mente and the project Connessioni e Nodi della Rete Umana), the project centers primarily on the prevalence of artworks, sculptures, and visual languages, investigating the human capacity to shape matter and reality through creativity, awareness, and relationship. Under the title "HOMO FABER," the exhibition aims to overcome stigma and the fragmentation of pain.

The exhibition itinerary unfolds as a powerful visual and material dialogue, accompanied in parallel by the essay L'Uomo artefice. La materia che cura (conceived as an ideal continuation of the previous volume Il manicomio invisibile), which offers a theoretical reflection running through the journey. The creative act and sculpture are not merely aesthetic objects, but direct vehicles of care, relationship, and human redemption.

The exhibition features installations, sculptures, paintings, drawings, photography, and an accompanying essay section, structured as a living ecosystem open to the public to experience the space as a place of sharing and emotional resonance against any prejudice regarding mental distress.
