Fabrizio Sorrentino integrates algorithmic modeling with manual intervention inspired by foundry techniques: a continuous movement from matter to the digital, and back again to matter.
Data and contact details
Born in Rome in 1980, he graduated in Sculpture in 2004 from the Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome. From this training came his current direction, in a process that repeatedly crosses the boundary between matter and the digital.
Sorrentino is also a teacher of Discipline Plastiche e Scultoree, an activity he sees as being in constant dialogue with his own research: classroom experience feeds the questions he pursues in the studio, and vice versa.
