Rome Art Week is a contemporary art festival of free cultural events in Roman galleries and studios.
Art lovers in the capital can look forward to a new cultural project with the first edition of Rome Art Week (RAW), taking place in venues across the city from 24-29 October.
The collaborative non-profit venture, which has a packed programme of 400 free events, is designed to promote contemporary art in Rome, and launches with an opening party at Chorus on Via della Conciliazione at 18.30 on 24 October.
The six-day festival is divided between contemporary Roman galleries and open studios of the city’s professional artists, with participants organising a range of events including exhibitions, guided tours, video screenings, lectures, conferences and performances.
RAW is a partner of the “Fuori Quadrenniale” programme of events attached to the city’s 16th Quadrenniale d’arte.
Events will be highlighted with a calendar and interactive map, along with information about galleries and artists, on the Rome Art Week website.
