Meghit Mohamed Larbi Ben Othmane is a contemporary Algerian visual artist born in 1993. A painter and sculptor, he has been teaching drawing for over eight years. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a specialization in sculpture from the School of Fine Arts in Tlemcen, and a Master of Visual Arts from Abou Bekr Belkaid University (2012–2016). His works are inspired by philosophical themes, Algeria's rich cultural heritage, and a deep commitment to animal rights. Through a poetic and evocative visual language, he explores the connection between identity, memory, and nature, giving voice to what often goes unheard. He has participated in over 25 exhibitions and art salons in Algeria, receiving three major national awards, including the prestigious Presidential Prize for the Visual Arts, the country's highest artistic recognition. He also has experience in set design and decoration for films.
