Asmaa El-Nawawy was born in Cairo in 1981, where she lives and works as an a visual artist and as an associate professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University. She received the State Incentive Award in 2018, and the State Award for Creativity in 2014. El-Nawawy held 5 solo exhibitions in the years (2005 (solo exhibition at Al-Jazeera Art Center)-2013 (exhibition at the Egyptian Academy in Rome) – 2019 (Mythology in Al-Massar Gallery) – 2021 (Neurotransmitters in Magdoub Gallery) – 2022 (Time Capsules in Picasso Gallery), El-Nawawy also participated in many Art forums and many international exhibitions, her latest participation is KING TUT Collective Exhibition at the Ashmolean museum 2022 and her artworks are part of private and public collections, most notably the Museum of Modern Art in Egypt and Jordan, the Library of Alexandria and the Embassy of Egypt in Kuwait.
