Nadja Elpida Murze is a Cypriot director who explores themes of Orientalism, linguistics, and the enigmatic experiences of human perception. A "Madwoman," she trained in screenwriting at the VSKK in Prague and has five years of practical experience on international film sets and in prestigious productions, such as those at FAMU.
His recent experimental film, "Wanna Talk?", encourages audiences to encounter films "in the wild," beyond the constraints of conventional cinema. The film was "distributed" by placing provocative QR codes around the world, in the most unlikely places: from restrooms to galleries. The project was also officially selected to screen at the Cyprus Film Festival, under a starry sky by the sea.
Elpida has also taken part in several acclaimed collaborations.
She was a key collaborator on the immersive photography exhibition titled “To Those to Them” by Once in a Blue Moon , presented at the 2021 Larnaca Biennial.
Additionally, her work as a production assistant on Ben Sibulkin's "Through the Gate" earned her nominations for Best Student Film at the Cannes World Film Festival and the New York Film International Film Awards.
