Nadja Elpida Murze is a Cypriot filmmaker, who explores themes of orientalism, linguistics and enigmatic experiences of the human perception. A Madwoman with a background in scriptwriting from VSKK in Prague and 5 years of hands-on experience on international film sets and prestigious productions, such as FAMU.
Her recent experimental film "Wanna talk?" encourages audiences to encounter films "in the wild", beyond the conventional cinema constraints. The film was "distributed" through placing provocative QR-codes all around the globe, in the most unspeakable places: from toilets to galleries. The project was also officially selected to be screened on Cyprus Film Festival, under a starry night on the beach.
Elpida has also played a part in several acclaimed collaborations.
She was a key contributor at the immersive photography exhibition called "To those to them" by Once in a Blue Moon, featured at the Larnaca Biennale 2021.
While her work as an assistant producer on Ben Sibulkin's "Through the Gate", also earned nominations for Best Student film at the Cannes World Film Festival and the New York Film International Film Awards.
