My artistic journey began in 2018 as a self-taught artist, driven purely by curiosity and passion. From the very beginning, I was eager to experiment with different materials and techniques, exploring graphite, colored pencils, acrylics, and mixed media. Each medium offered a new way of seeing and interpreting the world, helping me gradually develop both my technical skills and artistic voice.
During the pandemic, I dedicated even more time to drawing and painting, and my work improved significantly. Although I was still working primarily from photographic references, those years taught me discipline, observation, and the importance of consistent practice.
Everything changed when I had the opportunity to participate in an exchange program abroad. It was there that I rediscovered watercolor, a medium I had first experimented with in 2020. Inspired by the places I visited, I began creating small watercolor sketches on location. What started as a simple way of documenting my travels soon became an essential part of my travel journals and, ultimately, an integral part of my identity as an artist.
Today, I am drawn to painting places that many people pass by every day, yet I strive to capture something uniquely fleeting, the atmosphere, the changing light, and the emotion of a particular moment. My watercolor sketches are not merely representations of landscapes or architecture, they are visual memories, preserving the essence of a place as it was experienced in that instant.
