Divya Vinod Gilatar (b. 1991, Mumbai, India) is an Indian contemporary artist, writer and educator based in the United Kingdom, and founder of The Queendom Studio. Her multidisciplinary practice explores Shakti, sacred geometry, feminine embodiment, spirituality, cultural memory and transformation through contemporary visual storytelling.
Drawing upon Indian philosophy, Shaktism, symbolic traditions and lived experience, Gilatar creates works that bring the intimate body into dialogue with ideas of divinity, identity and collective memory. Her visual language is characterised by luminous colour, symmetry, repetition, floral forms and mandala-like structures, through which philosophical and embodied experiences are transformed into contemplative images.
Her principal bodies of work include the Chakra Mandala Series and Shakti in Motion. The former explores energetic balance and the symbolic language of the chakra system, while Shakti in Motion examines menstruation, inner radiance, sacred union, the womb, nourishment and motherhood as interconnected expressions of feminine creative power.
Her work has been presented internationally across the United Kingdom and Europe, including exhibitions in London, Paris, Madrid, Vienna, Budapest, Amsterdam, Lisbon, Brighton and Ipswich. Alongside her visual practice, she works across writing, publishing and education, allowing research, storytelling and image-making to continually inform one another.
