Laura Grosso lives and works in Rome as a painter. Many of her paintings are included in private collections in Italy and abroad.
Born in Bari in 1955, she moved to Rome in 1966. She began her professional training at the art school on Via Ripetta under the guidance of painter Marina Poggi. While still a high school student, she made her debut as a painter in April 1975 with a solo exhibition at the Sporting Club Teatro Margherita in Bari, exhibiting tempera on paper and canvas.
She continued her studies in the Painting course taught by Alberto Ziveri at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, graduating with honors in 1978. Soon after, she perfected her figure skills in life drawings during rehearsals for Enzo Cosimi's dance-theater performances.
In 1985, he began painting en plein air in the Tuscan countryside around Florence, then in Chicago, and finally in Rome. From 1998 to 2008, his "Roman Urban Views" series was presented in several solo and group exhibitions at Silvie Andrè's Gallery on Via Giulia in Rome.
Since the early 2000s, he has returned to the human figure with the "Humans" series. Since 2019, her work has been shown continuously at the Baart Gallery in Bari.
