PAR Performance Art Rome collective presents Stand up for the Trees, an outdoor Performance Art event taking place on Friday 24 October 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Via Vetulonia 2, Rome.
PAR Performance Art Rome takes art beyond traditional spaces, directly engaging the urban environment and/or other unconventional contexts. The goal is to create a dialogue with the public in unexpected places, stimulating new reflections and sensibilities through Performance Art.
In this event, six artists will create Performance Art works using tree stumps in various stages of life or decay, inviting passersby to reflect on the space we inhabit, the often-ignored realities that surround us, and the relationship between nature and the urban environment, a context we experience daily and - often unknowingly - help transform.
The objectives of Stand Up for the Trees are to:
- Bring Performance Art beyond traditional art spaces.
- Promote reflection on the value of trees and nature, particularly within the urban context.
- Raise public awareness of often overlooked realities, such as stumps of trees, which represent the memory and presence of nature in cities.
- Encourage passersby to consider the relationship between the natural environment and urban space, highlighting how human actions influence the landscape and ecosystem.
- Foster active and responsible awareness of the protection of trees and green spaces, recognising their fundamental role in mitigating climate change and improving the quality of urban life.
The participating artists are:
Caùl, Cristiana Fasano, Daniela Beltrani, Francesca di Ciaula, Paola Fatelli, Silvia Stucky, Ysabel Dehais.
