Luca Caridi, known artistically as Caùl, is an independent visual artist and performer. His creative journey has always unfolded outside traditional academic frameworks, following a personal path of research rooted in existential and social themes, which he then transforms into visual works and performances.
At the core of his practice lies the exploration of the "fertile void" — a concept dear to philosopher Friedlander — seen as an inner space of waiting and intuition, a necessary prelude to the creative act. In recent years, his focus has increasingly shifted toward performance art, favoring direct experience and audience interaction over mere aesthetic contemplation.
In 2024, he attended the intensive Performance Art course at the Rome University of Fine Arts (RUFA), led by Marta Jovanović. He is currently a member of Performance Art Rome, a platform dedicated to promoting and expanding the presence of performance art in the capital, with the goal of making this expressive form more accessible and visible within the contemporary cultural landscape.
