We are the Pavlovsky family: mathematically trained metal designer Alexander, artist, art critic, writer Nikita/Onda and graphic designer and illustrator Anastasia. Dad, son and mom.
We decided to work as a team in January 2020. We believe that with a good understanding, the difference in our creative background gives an original result.
We create paintings, panels and objects at the crossroads of art and handcrafted design. Each of us develops his own theme, without limiting the creative freedom of the other.
Our principles:
1) Co-creation of man, nature and time. We use ancient materials, underlining and creatively reworking the traces of time.
2) The concept of "second life" of an object: by changing the shape and the context, we change the destiny. Each of our works brings its own background into its new life.
3) We connect the language of figurative images, full of associations and metaphors (idea), and the "craft", the non-verbal language of the material and old technologies (feeling). Working with traditional technologies and materials makes it possible to "slow down" the viewer, usually captured by the dynamics of the city and the information field, to offer him the experience of a contemplative perception of the work. We understand progress as a non-linear phenomenon, therefore we creatively process the experience of the past, transferring it to the current context.
4) Life is more important than an abstract principle, compassion is more important than dogma. Therefore, our themes are: reconfiguring methods of perception and communication, new ethics and its understanding, preordination and destiny - and stepping out of them.

– 2020 Map of Human Nature (special project of the 7th Moscow International Biennale for Young Art), Nikita/Onda Pavlovsky, with works included in Pavlovskydesign
– 2021 solo exhibition “PANTONE 18-1248 RUST”, Moscow. It was called "PANTONE 18-1248 RUST" (one of the colors of 2021 is the color of rust) and was dedicated to the traces of time and events. The theme of the exhibition has become a reference point for 2021, the year of the pandemic.
– 2023 XXIV Salon, Esart Gallery Barcelona, (Catalonia, Spain), medal "Choice of the jury"
– 2023 “100X100 SMALL FORMAT”, exhibition of 100 works – 100 authors at Sincresis Gallery, Contemporary Art Cultural Association (Empoli, Florence, Tuscany, Italy)
