Behind the curtain is an exhibition dedicated to the maternal figure, to the daily, incessant work that every mother dedicates to the care of her children and the well-being of the family.
An often hidden job that sometimes we don't even notice. That the refrigerator is full and the sheets clean we take it for normal, we don't wonder who did it. It is something that has always belonged to us, something we are used to and take for granted. This exhibition aims to highlight precisely this aspect of motherhood: the loving work that exists behind the curtain.
21 artists, members of the Salotto di Diotima, express it through photography, digital art, mixed media, oil or acrylic painting. Someone asked me: why, given the topic, the title is not Behind the scenes? There is a reason. I would like this work of mothers not to remain hidden. It's time for it to be recognized, respected, and appreciated. So let the curtain rise: enter the scene THE MOTHERS!
