Museum house from the beginning of the 20th century that belonged to the Boncompagni Ludovisi family, intended as a center for the promotion and documentation of decorative arts, fashion and costume, understood as the evolution of social taste of the modern period. A common thread unites these distinct cultural fields and is the history of the taste for beauty and the quality of product creation.
Furniture, furnishings, clothes, fashion accessories trace the path of the search for decorum and comfort in Italian society, particularly in the 20th century. The union of creative geniuses and excellent performers in both cases have determined the growth and cult of Made in Italy. Recording the evolution of the times, the collections of the Boncompagni Ludovisi Museum testify to the recognition of the historical and artistic value of objects and works that were originally intended for private use and are today available for public use.
