Located in the heart of Rome, near Piazza Navona, the exhibition space of the Sinopia Gallery invites the spectator-visitor to experience the mutual exaltation of beauty and functionality first hand. The gallery gives light to creative and experimental partnerships between the elegance of antique furnishings and visual power of contemporary artworks.
In recent years the antiques gallery, in Rome since 1988, has embarked on a journey of rediscovery of contemporary arts and handcrafted artisan works. Through this it provides its customers with a meticulous selection of paintings, sculptures, photographs, art pieces and furnishings, by both national and international artists offering sophisticated pairings of different eras and cultures.
The Gallery also devotes a section to the “Makers” to create a meeting point between art – design – technique. The “Makers” create artistic designs, not industrial production but limited editions. The principle of procurement is that of a work of art: the materials are valuable, you are moved by the artist’s work and beneath the surface you can feel the movement, strength, and skill that drives it.
Within the Gallery this cultural vision promotes the creation of unexpected unions, new curiosities and comparisons while breaking boundaries...emotion is not a feeling but a movement.
