This volume, retracing forty years of the Vicenza-born artist's research and work through critical accounts, focuses specifically on the last 25 years of her career, which see her engaged in an expressive exercise in which light—neon, specifically—is a fundamental part of her commitment to aesthetic reflection.
This volume offers a comprehensive and comprehensive journey, providing useful documentation of every solo exhibition in which Bedeschi has participated, each time, as is her established practice, in a site-specific work. In her installations, Bedeschi unites painting, sculpture, and installation in a highly personal universe, always allowing the viewer to experience the work through different modalities, sensibilities, and feelings. The constant evolution of the reinvention of neon is, therefore, the central theme of this publication; it is the journey that Bedeschi's light takes over time, modifying and strengthening its own influences.
This is demonstrated by the Eutopia exhibition hosted by the Andersen House Museum until 26 October 2025. The light installations are placed in specific points of the museum, creating a site-specific itinerary that, through the polysemy of the language, interfaces with the poetics of Hendrik Andersen and with the House Museum's collection, recalling utopian and universal values.
