Small Format Art ####4

Heterogeneous works, united by the small format, create a mosaic of languages and materials. Small Format Art ####4, curated by Antonietta Campilongo, is hosted at Spazio Evergreen for Rome Art Week 2025.

Spazio Evergreen – Largo Tor de’ Conti, 39 – Rome

Next to the Torre dei Conti, in the heart of the archaeological area between Via dei Fori Imperiali and Via Cavour, stands Spazio Evergreen, a medieval building located in a site of extraordinary historical value. The space overlooks the area in front of the Torre dei Conti, once home to a temple dedicated to the goddess Tellas and today the setting of the evocative excavations of the Forum of Peace.

Small Format Art ####4

Curated by Antonietta Campilongo

The exhibition brings together works by artists of different backgrounds and languages, creating a composite and dynamic journey. What unites them is the small format: reduced surfaces that, rather than limiting, open up to a surprising density of expression.

Painting, photography, drawing, collage, and material experimentation intertwine in a continuous dialogue, offering the viewer a mosaic of microcosms. Each work thus becomes a concentrated source of creative energy, capable of conveying emotions and reflections despite its contained dimensions.

The small format emerges as an autonomous language—essential and direct—capable of encapsulating intensity and evocative power in just a few square centimeters. The installation in the medieval setting of Spazio Evergreen, embedded in Rome’s archaeological fabric, highlights the contrast between the intimate scale of the works and the millennial vastness of the context, creating a unique visual and sensory experience.
