From 21 to 26 October 2024, as part of the Rome Art Week, the Oxford Collective presents the contemporary art exhibition 'Kontemporanea Art On Time', curated by Mauro Silani, at the Q'4RT exhibition space of the Hotel Oxford, located in via Boncompagni 89, Rome. The official opening will be held on Monday 21 October, at 18:00.
The exhibition is intended as a profound reflection on the role of contemporary art in a society only apparently increasingly free from external conditioning. The Oxford Collective explores the concept "of the contemporary" through the works of artists who, freed from fashions or commissions, can freely express their own feelings. In this context, the artist becomes the protagonist of his own creative space, moving through an everyday reality that is no longer limited by the linearity of time, but expands according to a personal and autonomous vision.
"Kontemporanea Art On Time " offers a wide range of artistic expression: from interactive installations to paintings and sculptures, each piece on display tells a unique perspective on contemporaneity. The artists of the Oxford Collective investigate the concept of time not only as a chronological measure, but as a subjective experience, exploring how everyday reality breaks free from imposed rhythms to move freely in the space that each artist creates for themselves.
Curator Mauro Silani explains: "Today, contemporary art is no longer tied to a historical time or external influences that channel it into predetermined movements or currents. Artists are free to act in their own inner space, creating works that reflect their personal way of seeing the world. Kontemporanea Art On Time is an exhibition that celebrates this creative freedom, moving beyond the boundaries of time and space."
