Her compositions are largely conceptual yet not abstract; her portraits depict emotions and ways of life; and her landscapes are created *en plein air* using traditional, classical methods for measuring proportions (she rejects the use of photography and AI).">Monica Rea, 48, Isola del Liri – Arpino
Monica developed an interest in literature, poetry, and art through the encouragement she received from her family and at school. As early as her teenage years, many of her poems were published by the daily newspaper *Ciociara Oggi*.
Monica has traveled extensively throughout Italy, engaging with various artistic and cultural circles across the country.
Currently, Monica—who is also an environmental protection technician—is pursuing a project known as "Progetto Tamerici" (Tamarisk Project). Inspired by the philosophy of Giovanni Pascoli, this initiative is carried out in collaboration with schools and associations in the Ciociaria and Rome regions.
Her compositions are largely conceptual yet not abstract; her portraits depict emotions and ways of life; and her landscapes are created *en plein air* using traditional, classical methods for measuring proportions (she rejects the use of photography and AI).
