Jole Falco
Jole Falco, visual artist with particular inclination for the plastic arts. He lives and works in Rome. Falco divides between exhibitions and teaching in a research path attentive to social and women’s issues.

Born in Avellino, he graduated in sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome with the sculptor Pericle Fazzini. The art of sculpting wood and stone consolidate expertise and love for the material. Experience in Africa, Senegal and Nigeria, for the realization of illustrations for the book "Adobe mosques", influence her future works and confirm in the use of materials her research as a sculptor and body designer.

She participates in several collective and personal exhibitions presenting his own works of graphics and sculpture. In particular, it was noted for its presence at the 5th International Exhibition of art and culture promoted by the Italian Women’s Center for Artists and Professionals, The Exhibition Centre in Rome (1979). And again at the National Congress of Florence on "Wood in Restoration and Restoration of Wood", at the Collective Exhibition in Rieti "from the Naked to the Naked" (1988); at the Biennale of Graphic Arts of the engraving curated by the Department of the Municipality of Athens on the theme of the Centenary of the Olympic Games (1990); at the collective exhibition at CISAP in Bern (1992); at the collective exhibition at the Palazzo Comunale in Assisi (1993). 

She also creates the exhibition "Transparencies" at the Center for Documentation of Contemporary Artistic Research Luigi Di Sarro (22 October - 8 November 2002) and still the installation "Mannequins at the market" (4 October 2003), Exhibition "Human traces" to discover the matter Palazzo del Comune Avellino (3/10 December 2005). In 2006 we see her creating a new installation "The fashion sculptor" at Modus Atelier in Rome. The same year, she also took a solo show at Galleria 291 Est in Rome, "Effetti Personali". In 2012 she is in Tokyo for the personal "E=MC". In 2015 he collaborated with the Iowa State University to create the multimedia project "Legame-Bond" within the 56th edition of the Venice Biennale. Between artistic and educational activities, he is responsible for the project "Medicine and art: red shoes at Sapienza" at the Museum of the History of Medicine (Rome, May 2023).

Jole Falco, engaged in social work also participates in two editions of the International Exhibition on the "Political Manifesto" in the region of Mons (1985 -1986); collaborates with the Association A Roma Insieme of Leda Colombini for activities within the nest of the Prison of Rebibbia in Rome, realizing an art-therapy workshop. Her educational commitment to children’s creativity led her to the Dalton School in Tokyo in 2012. In 2017 he created "La scuola non è di moda" published by Bordeax Editore. The book collects the testimony of creative workshops and educational paths, which led to the creation of fashion shows, in which the clothes integrate the theme of recycling. Educational commitment that lasts until 2022.
