For ErProsit the canvas is the fundamental element of his poetics, due to the fact that in the canvas he sees and feels a subtle border between the real world and an infinity of oneiric universes that are calmly waiting to be materialized by inspiring, calling, and speaking to the artist’s mind. The fine canvas separates and at the same time unites the artist with Plato’s Hyperuranion in a continuous reciprocal exchange. His works are thus crafted in an instinctive and striking act of creation.

Another fundamental element in ErProsit’s conception of art is the public: for him the public itself is always conceived as part of the installation since it relates with the art piece not just by looking at it but also by touching and feeling it, seeing itself reflected in the installation or merely by standing in its proximity. As far as a banal and sometimes taken for granted the concept might sound, without the relation between the piece of art and the human being (the public) art itself loses its meaning

ErProsit (Michele Santini), born in Rome in 1993 and raised in the Capital, after graduating from high school studied as a Makeup Artist for 2 years specializing in Special Effects Makeup in the cinematographic field, obtaining an EU recognized certification. During this period he started studying materials and matter and began lifecasting molds.

Thanks to his lifelong interest in street art in 2016 he took part in “Festival Gianmaria Volontè” along with many international artists, presenting the outdoor art installation “Quarta Parete”, ErProsit’s first life-size resin anatomical reproduction.

In the following years, he honed his artisanal skills by working with different materials such as leather, resin, wood, etc., and collaborating with various art studios in Rome.

In 2021, aware that he gained enough manual experience, he began to work on his own personal installations, designing and crafting sculptural works displayed in various places in Italy and assisting a large number of artists in crafting with resin, being regarded as an expert in the handling of this specific material.
