I was born on February the 9th 1966. I obtained an Illustrator's Diploma at the European Institute of Design in 1991. As an illustrator I am interested in visual communication, something rather different from what I aim for as a painter, free and even ‘without use', one might say, except that what interests me most about illustration is definitely the relationship between writing and image. I have been teaching since 2009 to 2020 to Officina B5 Illustration School in Rome.
I opened Poetry is a Place - the workshop (#piaplab) in Chicago, at 'The School of the Art Institute of Chicago', from 02-10-2023 to 13-10-2023. The students' exhibition was held at the Italian Cultural Centre of Chicago in February 2024.
Afterwards #piaplab was held at RUFA in Via degli Ausonii in Rome in March 2024, and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Frosinone between March and April 2024.
