Alessandro Ferraro was born in Rome on 9 February 1966.

After completing his scientific high school diploma, he graduated in Illustration from the European Institute of Design (IED) in Rome in 1991.

As an illustrator, he works primarily in the field of visual communication. He has worked for companies, newspapers, magazines, and national and international publishing houses, including Hertz-Alitalia, The Shenker Method, Berlitz-Curcio, Il Messaggero Salute, BNL, RAI Educational, COOP, ASL Roma E, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Fedra Congressi, L’Unità, Left, Terra, Lapis, Carthusia, Mondadori, Bulles de savon, and others. What interests him most in illustration is precisely the delicate relationship between images and writing. Many of his illustrations can be viewed at www.alessandroferraro.it.

His artistic production is very diverse, encompassing different techniques and forms of expression. From 2009 to 2020, he taught at the illustration school “Officina B5” in Rome.

He is the author of several workshops exploring the relationship between image, words, and poetic verse.

He lives and works in Rome.
