Data and contact details

I was born in Villa San Giovanni, in the province of Reggio Calabria, on October 7th, 1957. When I was eight years old I moved with my family to Civitavecchia, in the province of Rome. In Civitavecchia I attended the State Institute of Art for two years; after passing an examimation I was admitted to the third year at the State Institute for Cinematography and Television in Rome (now known as the Roberto Rossellini Cine TV Institute), where I attended the Drawing course and obtained my high-school diploma.

I wrote and illustrated, in collaboration with Fiorella Di Bene, three children's books which were published by Edizioni Paoline: “La formica Certosina” (1986), “Certosina alle Olimpiadi (1988), “Certosina e le formiche Fannullone” (1991 ). Subsequently I made schoolbooks illustrations for the Max Hueber Verlag publishing house (Germany).

From 20 to 28 February 2008 my personal exhibition entitled "Donne" ("Women") was held at the AV Gallery, Viale Angelico 2, Rome, in which I exhibited pictorial works (acrylic tempera on canvas).

From 15 to 21 November 2019 my personal exhibition entitled "Presenze" was held at the Arca di Noesis Gallery, via Ostilia 3/B, Rome, in which I exhibited works of painting (acrylic tempera on canvas), sculpture (in ceramic and bronze) and artistic craftsmanship (in embossed copper).

From 23 to 28 October 2023, the collective exhibition “Art and Literature - Homage to Dacia Maraini” was held at the Arca di Noesis Gallery, via Ostilia 3/B, Rome, in which I participated with a painting entitled “Marianna nella sua biblioteca” (“Marianna in her library”), inspired by the novel “La lunga vita di Marianna Ucria” (“The silent duchess”) by Dacia Maraini. This exhibition was held as part of the Rome Art Week 2023 exhibition.

From 8 to 13 June 2024 the collective exhibition "Art and Literature - Homage to Isabel Allende" was held at the Arca di Noesis Gallery, via Ostilia 3/B, Rome, in which I participated with a painting entitled “Il sogno della sirena” ("The mermaid’s dream”), inspired by the novel “The House of the Spirits” by Isabel Allende.
