Istituto Superiore Antincendi

Data and contact details

The complex originally intended to house the General Warehouses of Rome, is a strinking work of significant engineering and spatial value. Built according to a design by engineer Passarelli in 1912m it was renovated in 1984 while keeping its essential features unchanged.

The building is of considerable importance both for its size and for the system of loading and unloading og goods carried out with overhead gantries (imposing metal structures still visible today).

Since 1994 it has housed the Istituto Superiore Antincendi a training school of the National Fire Department.
