The Gallery 28 Piazza di Pietra has been active since December 1, 2012, in what used to be the stables of the Ferrini-Cini Palace (cataloged by ADSI among the Historic Italian Residences).
The exhibition spaces are spread across two levels, and on the lower level, the foundations of the adjacent Temple of Hadrian, dating back to the 2nd century AD, have been brought to light.
Over the course of more than 10 years of activity, numerous exhibitions have been organized, featuring paintings and photographs by highly significant Italian and foreign artists.
The gallery has also showcased the paintings of Maestro Michelangelo Antonioni, an Oscar-winning filmmaker who received all the major international film awards in his career. The exhibition achieved extraordinary success, particularly in terms of media attention, as it marked the first time Antonioni's paintings were presented in an art gallery to art enthusiasts and fans of the renowned director.
In recent years, the gallery has collaborated with internationally acclaimed artists, such as Svein Manneraak in 2017 in Rome for the exhibition "Norwegian Hallucinations” and Jon Gorospe, an award-winning Spanish artist, with the photographic exhibitions "De Magnete" (North) and “Polished Cities”. In June 2023, the gallery hosted the exhibition “Seychelles my Soul” by George Camille, already known in Italy for representing his country three times at the Venice Biennale.
