The Mizar Gallery was founded in 1967 in Rome and is located at 16/B of San Sebastianello Street next to the famous Spanish Steps, where the first gallery of the prestigious La Salita Gallery by Gian Tomaso Liverano was located.

Specialized in Modern and Contemporary Art, the Gallery has always been involved in the realization and promotion of exhibitions of modern and contemporary artists, whether Italian or international, such as Joseph Beuys, Alberto Burri, Lucio Fontana, Francesco Lo Savio, Joan Mirò, Giorgio Morandi, Pablo Picasso, Cy Twombly and many others.

It is important to emphasize the gallery’s commitment in the organization of exhibitions and events over the years, in Italy and abroad. Events organized in the gallery itself, but also in institutional public places, dedicated to the work of eminent international artists, such as the exhibition “Translating China” by Jannis Kounellis at the Today Art Museum in Beijing in 2011.

There are many major projects that have been carried out over the years, such as a portfolio of works of art for the Sarajevo Olympic Winter Games and in 2008 for the Beijing Olympic Games. Artworks were created exclusively and for the occasion by important Italian and international artists, such as Rafael Canogar, Piero Dorazio, Francesco Clemente Piero Dorazio, Jannis Kounellis, Mimmo Paladino, Piero Pizzi Cannella, etc.

In addition to being an exhibition hall open to the public, the gallery is also a space dedicated to exhibitions and events. In recent years, the gallery has specialized itself in the trade of art and design objects, though its own website www.mizarart.com. Mizar also adheres to the international project Wallector.com, which in just a few months has already become a reference point for art and antique collection on an international level.
