Born in Equatorial Guinea in Africa, Fernando Montà lives and works in Turin. The activity begins with the achievement in 1974, in Varese, of the national Pernod prize for graphics, students section of the Academies of Fine Arts. He dedicates himself to engraving and figurative painting with themes related to ecology and environmental protection. At the beginning of the 90s he arrives at a research on the sign; the exhibition “Monadi-Nomadi” dates back to 1993 with the creation of a video catalog, produced by Willy Darko and a critical presentation by Ivana Mulatero. The activity continues with works composed of modules that expand into space and which have the Hill and the Moon as their subject. Subsequently, the research focused on the Wind element that swirls nature and the landscape, and on the works that denounce the Wounds to nature and, at the same time, to the human soul. The latest works take up themes and subjects of the past investigated and created with new compositional cuts. Take part in events and exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Works in public and private collections.
The artist's works privilege the energy, beauty and perfection of the forces of nature. The subjects are often inserted in a circle that represents the processing of the energy released by the wind.
