The photo-ceramic store Bruciaferro is not very far from my home. I have been living in this neighborhood for years now, but I had never noticed it before; as if its signature characterizes it being unobserved. Entering, a typical seventies interior; furniture from the previous store in Via della Scrofa which followed the son of the then owner, to this underground location a few meters from Piazza Vittorio. Down there, where the sound of the city is muffled, perhaps, it’s name also a complice, the mysterious alchemic operation takes place; where the transparent and impalpable films fix the hard, pearly porcelain.
How can we not be curious...
