Laura Romano Open Studio

For Rome Art Week, Laura Romano opens her studio at Artificio6, inviting visitors to discover her artistic research through painting, experimental surfaces, pigments and memories of the natural world.

As part of Rome Art Week 2026, Laura Romano opens her studio to the public at Artificio6, an independent art studio she founded in Rome in 2020.

The Open Studio offers visitors the opportunity to explore her artistic research through a selection of recent works, materials and working processes.

Her practice focuses on the pictorial surface, understood not simply as a support but as an active element in the creation of the artwork. Fabrics manipulated through folds and irregularities are subsequently worked with pigments, giving rise to forms that evoke landscapes, vegetation and natural processes.

Alongside her works on fabric, she will present paintings on handmade Hanji paper, in which her exploration of materials extends to the creation of the support itself.

The event offers an opportunity to visit the place where her artworks are created, explore materials and surfaces, and engage directly with the artist about her creative process.
