To pay tribute to the writer Tracy Chevalier, who in her novel *Strange Creatures* highlighted the most fascinating aspects of paleontological and archaeological research, we have invited two distinguished guests: archaeologist Daniela Zampetti, a former professor at the University of Rome “La Sapienza,” who will help us understand the enthusiasm and dedication behind her work; and paleontologist Beniamino Mecozzi, who will specifically discuss the surprising discovery of the remains of a prehistoric elephant found in 1932 near the Colosseum.
During the event, which will take place against the magical backdrop of the works created by the 24 artists participating in the art exhibition “Homage to Tracy Chevalier,” excerpts will also be read from the author’s novels that have most inspired the artists
