For me, the canvas becomes a diary, a place of emotional experience, a spontaneous manifestation of my state of mind. Fragments of my lived experiences are imprinted on the canvas, where they appear more vivid than ever, revealing themselves to the eyes of those who observe them.

The image is constructed through contrasting patches of colour, in which the spontaneity of the gesture asserts itself, allowing the memory to resurface and then be transferred onto the canvas. The large pictorial fields of colour represent the fragments of reality that make up our experiences, the existential nuances that come together to form the complex puzzle of each individual’s personality.

For me, painting is an intimate and individual act, detached from predefined rules or from any specific artistic movement or current. It is a way of moving towards expressive freedom, which leads me to experiment and to combine different techniques and styles.

The sensations I convey are sometimes connected to the observation of reality, while at other times they are more deeply rooted in my inner world. Yet, in both cases, the artwork becomes an extension of my spirituality: an interpretation of everything that surrounds me, manifested through the act of painting.

In Morocco, figuration merges with abstraction, creating a visual illusion in which the image becomes a projection of the emotion perceived.
