Taste the Art is a sensory dialogue between visual art and edible art where, transcending the boundaries of matter, experiences engaging all the senses come to life. For the 2026 edition of Rome Art Week, the project gives shape to an unprecedented and profound synergy between painter Lissor (Lisa Sorba) and chef Michela Carboni. It is an intimate, multidisciplinary encounter born from the direct exploration of the artist's studio, where the chef immersed herself in the pages of sketchbooks, engraved papers, collages, and pictorial collections. From this authentic exchange between two kindred ways of conceiving creativity, a sequence of edible creations comes to life, reinterpreting the themes, colors, and geometries of the visual works through taste. In this journey, traditional graphic and pictorial art techniques find a second life through culinary craft: the graphic strength of nature-inspired engravings translates into true bread sculptures—such as the iconic visual and taste interpretation of the "Albero del pane cacio e pepe" (Cacio e Pepe Bread Tree)—while the layered collages and color fields of the paintings guide the choice of ingredients, textures, and nuances on the plate. Taste the Art is not simply a tasting, nor a conventional art exhibition, but an integrated sensory journey where artwork is observed, listened to through the story of its creators, and, ultimately, savored.
