DI-VERSI DI-SEGNI

Not only works on paper but signs in the infinite creative ways of contemporary artists, connected to music and poetic texts. First of five exhibitions curated by Laura Turco Liveri.

On the occasion of RAW 2025, SpazioCupra - a new art gallery and multimedia space 5 minutes walk from Rome's Tiburtina Station and Metro B - offers the first stage of an annual journey that will be divided into five exhibitions of contemporary works of art lasting about a month each, correlated with poems and music by contemporary and non-contemporary composers, each time providing different performances by artists from other disciplines. At the last exhibition, in October 2026, the catalog of the entire exhibition will be presented, with a critical text by Laura Turco Liveri, published by Edart, Formia-Rome.

The project, already inaugurated in RAW 2016 in collaboration with Arte Fuori Centro (later merged into the MAC-Museo del Piccolo Formato in Guarcino), now finds a new beginning.

The concept of the exhibition extends to the creative sign - chromatic, compositional, structural - allowing to offer a greater typological range of works and executive techniques, including painting, sculpture, photography, installation and performance art.

This first exhibition, from October 24 to November 23, 2025, features the works of Janine Claudia Nizza, Vittorio Pavoncello, Marco Ruffini and Massimo Ruffini. Four artists of great experience who, in their expressive diversity, draw on the deepest forces of the Universe, the vital and dynamic instinct, the physical attraction in feeling but also as a powerful force of gravity, capable of deforming bodies by re-forming them in a new order, as love does in the lives of those involved. Thus Nizza in the large painting Free Fall, Pavoncello in the installation “Human Gravitation Project II” - prints on aluminum, raw clay heads with the video Asymptotic or Apophis 2036 - or Marco Ruffini in The Lovers or Massimo Ruffini in his highly prized Bull.

Four other exhibitions will follow in which Matteo Visconti, Giulio Zappata, Iria Seta, Anna de Silva, Franco Durelli, Sandra Sfodera, Elvi Ratti, Stefania Di Filippo, Teresa Pollidori, Sabrina Carletti, Stefan Todorov, Giuseppe Ponzio, Patrizia Molinari, Cristiana Maria Pompei will exhibit, among others.
