Guided tour by curator Simona Ottolenghi of the photography exhibition
Storie Quotidiane by Tiziana Fustini, an anthology that brings together her most significant works.
The photographer from Pisa portrays the world starting from herself: in her projects she becomes both actress and interpreter, staging everyday stories through self-portraiture with irony, color, and lightness.
The exhibition presents four series that together compose Storie Quotidiane, highlighting the variety and strength of her language:
-
Fatti di vita (Facts of Life): ironic and surreal self-portraits about smartworking and the challenges of balancing work and family life, told with humor and critical spirit.
-
Gente per casa (People at Home): a playful game of disguises, where the author embodies imaginary characters who animate the domestic space.
-
Accumulo Strong (Strong Accumulation): an ironic and grotesque reflection on consumerism and the compulsive tendency to accumulate objects and unnecessary goods.
-
Io sono Chimera (I Am Chimera): an intimate and intense work on female gambling addiction, giving shape to fragilities and dependencies too often invisible.
In each work, Tiziana Fustini chooses to put herself directly on stage, using costumes, staging, and a good dose of self-irony.
Her images invite us to smile, reflect, and above all recognize ourselves in those stories which, though born from her personal experience, ultimately belong to all of us.
