The Condominio Series

Photographic exhibition by Albena Nikolova curated by Joshua De Loa

Roman apartment buildings represent a key element of the city's residential fabric, testifying to the evolution of architecture and urban planning over time: from historic buildings of the 19th and 20th centuries, characterized by ornamental decorations and fine materials, to more recent constructions, marked by functionality and modernity.

The ten photographic works by artist Albena Nikolova on display highlight the diverse formal and constructional choices of Roman apartment building architecture, focusing exclusively on entrances. While exploring the great stylistic diversity of these entrances, they also delve into the taste and sensibilities of those who have lived there and continue to live there today.
