Our association Spazio Gem is proud to present the art exhibition for Raw 2025 titled “Rawicinarsi”, taking place from Monday, October 20 to Saturday, October 25.

With the special participation of young artist Giuliano Serri, a second-year student at the “ISS D. Bramante” Institute in Rome.

THEME

Rawicinarsi is a collective contemporary art exhibition exploring intimacy as a form of attention, encounter as an artistic language, and proximity as a conscious choice capable of opposing the fragmentation of the present. It offers a visual and sensory reflection on the act and desire of getting closer: to others, nature, the past, and one’s own body.

The title revolves around a simple yet deeply meaningful verb: to get closer. In a time when distances—physical, emotional, cultural—seem to multiply, the exhibiting artists propose practices and visions that seek the opposite: shortening, touching, listening, and living together.

The artworks on display range from painting, graphic arts, and photography, all connected by an invisible thread: the tension towards something or someone. Some express getting closer as a slow gesture, others as a sudden impulse, and others still as an impossible act full of obstacles or failures.

During Raw 2025 week, in the room adjacent to the exhibition, collateral events will be presented:

  Scrapbooking workshop, paper creations led by Serena Buffa.

• Friday, October 24 | 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM
  Open Studio mosaic workshop led by Elisabetta Accoto.

• Saturday, October 25 | 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM
  Final painting performance of the Rawicinarsi exhibition, at Francesco Vaglica’s art studio, via Cupra 37, 00157 Rome.
