Artificial Mirrors will open on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., at NITIDO-Exhibition & Body Art in Rome, where it will remain on view through November 8, 2025. The featured artist exhibiting is Katsukokoiso.ai, digital alias of Eugenio Marongiu (Italy, 1980). With a background as a professional photographer and solid international experience (Berlin, Shanghai, Los Angeles), Katsukokoiso.ai has been experimenting with the expressive potential of Artificial Intelligence since 2022. Alpha tester for Sora (OpenAI) and creative partner for platforms such as Runway and Kling, he has signed projects for prominent brands and artists, including Capo Plaza Summer Tour 2025, Lenovo, and director Stefano Sollima's production company Alterego.

Through the post-photographic aesthetics of layered imagery, Artificial Mirrors triggers a short circuit with a (not too) distant future, in which the artist contemplates the transition to generative art as an amplified mirror of human experience. Here, post-human glitches and synthetic hybrids parade on virtual catwalks or inhabit parallel worlds, where the boundary between human and artificial dissolves into a continuous morphogenesis. Evanescent apparitions of enhanced, perfectible, customizable, fluid, mutant bodies embody the infinite possibility of performing one's identity, questioning the viewer about the risk of losing one's identity in its own endless simulation.

And in this investigation of the body – the main concept of NITIDO – that the play of reflections, guided by Rossella Della Vecchia's curatorial interpretation, becomes an identity manifesto in the age of AI. An exhibition that aims to stage an anesthetized and hyperconnected humanity, captive to the need to recognize itself in the reflection — real or algorithmic — of the other.
