Federico Kirschbaum presents "Los silencios del paisaje" at the Rome Art Week 2025
From September 25 to October 30, 2025, the Argentine artist Federico Kirschbaum will participate in the Rome Art Week (RAW) with his exhibition entitled "Los silencios del paisaje". The exhibition will take place in the Sala Sara Facio of Casa Argentina in Italy.
The series he proposes is composed of works woven in loom and rock glass. The technique is that of the Andean loom, the same one he learned in high school, in folklore classes when instead of dancing the teacher taught him to weave scarves, and instead of wool uses rock crystal that evokes his grandmother and one of the only objects he retained from his mother, a necklace of that material brought from his native Pettineo.
The threads of the loom are intertwined, like culture, the one that carries in its DNA and the one that incorporates the place, very difficult to distinguish the borders, a chain of traditions that weaves and determines who is.
