Finissage of the Exhibition "The Genesis of Being: Between Life, Art, and Catharsis"

On Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 11:30 AM, the finissage of the exhibition "The Genesis of Being: Between Life, Art, and Catharsis" will take place at Villa Lazzaroni as part of Rome Art Week, dedicated to contemporary art in Rome. Curated by Ilaria Giacobbi and organized by the Pamela Mastropietro ODV Association, the exhibition offers a profound journey into the human soul, exploring the connection between art and catharsis, as well as artistic creation and inner transformation.

Featuring abstract paintings by Francesca Porcaro and videos by Marco Balbi Dipalma, the audience is invited to engage with their inner selves, delving into emotions and thoughts hidden in the depths of the subconscious. Art becomes a metaphor for life, evolving through phases of birth, growth, and transformation. Each artwork serves as a tool for reflection, transforming human pain and fragility into beauty and rebirth.

The finissage will include significant institutional and artistic contributions:

• Riccardo Sbordoni, the cultural advisor of the VII Municipality, will open the event with a speech, emphasizing the importance of supporting cultural initiatives in the community.
• Happy Coaching, a project partner, will discuss themes related to personal transformation through the "Tree of Identities" project and the "Ability Leaves," symbols of reflection and personal commitment against gender-based violence, created during the "United Against Violence" event at Piazza Re di Roma.
• Alessandra Verni, president of the Pamela Mastropietro ODV Association, will present current and future projects focusing on art and art therapy as tools for care and healing.
• Ilaria Giacobbi, the exhibition curator, will guide the audience through the artworks, offering a critical and poetic reading of the exhibition's path.
• Francesca Porcaro, the featured artist, will perform live painting, showcasing her creative process and emotional transformation through art.

The exhibition will be open to the public until October 26 at Villa Lazzaroni, providing a unique opportunity to reflect on the transformative power of art and its impact on emotional healing.
